The OVM celebrates the completion of the seventh year (and tenth session) of the CrossRoad summer institute! This summer the OVM ran two sessions of CrossRoad in response to the large number of applicants, hosting sixty students from twenty-six different states and Canada, and representing seven Orthodox jurisdictions. Mary Long and Daniel Belonick worked together again as Director and Assistant Director respectively to lead a team of five program staff members, two student interns, and one videographer for CrossRoad’s 2010 sessions.

The Office of Vocation & Ministry at Hellenic College
presented its second annual Women Leaders
of the Church Lecture on Tuesday, April 27. This year’s guest speaker was
Presvytera Nikki Stephanopoulos, who shared her experience of service to the
Church, from her parish ministry endeavors to her professional service with the
Greek Orthodox Archdiocese.

The Office of Vocation & Ministry at Hellenic College welcomed the Very Rev. John Behr, Dean of St. Vladimir’s Seminary, to Boston on Saturday, April 17, 2010 for the annual RoundTable spring event. The event, Vocation & Personhood: Paschal Cookout with Fr. John Behr, took place at the home of Dn. Nicholas Belcher, HC/HC Dean of Students, and was attended by approximately 20 HC/HC students, staff, and family members.
Despite the rainy weather, participants enjoyed tasty food from the grill and lively discussion with Fr. Behr around the topic of what it means to be a human being.
The Office of Vocation & Ministry (OVM) at Hellenic College trains and educates faithful, energetic, high achieving, and service oriented Orthodox Christian young people to be leaders in the church as priests and lay people.
